KAMPALA– Kira municipality Member of Parliament Ibrahim Ssemujju Ngaanda has asked the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa Bangirana to direct government to come to the house and brief legislators on the wars being executed by UPDF in South Sudan and democratic republic of Congo.

Ssemujju told the deputy speaker that it’s unfortunate for the members only to receive information in the media that UPDF is fighting in Sudan and Congo and many of the soldiers have lost lives but the government has not yet briefed the house on what is taking place.

Ssemujju told the house that UPDF is being accused of using Chemicals in the South Sudan war and the information is all over the international media but the members of parliament are absolutely ignorant on what is taking place.

In his response, Tayebwa noted that he is going to direct the government to respond to his query and that when the house resumes its sittings on 9th next month, the government will be in position give a clear response.
