KAMULI-Police in Kamuli have arrested five people to help in the investigations into the robbery incident where GM sugar weighbridge cashier was shot and hurt by the armed robbers
its alleged that the armed thugs robbed Shs95m from the victim identified as Kobil Goswami after shooting and injuring him.
Police report says , Kobil Goswami alias Hash a cashier at GM Sugar weigh bridge was attacked at his work place located at Luzinga central 1 zone, Luzinga parish, Wankole sub-county, Kamuli district on Sunday 27/11/2022
ASP Micheal Kasadha the Busoga North Region Police spokesperson confirmed the incident , revealing that five people have been arrested to help in the investigation.
According to police, the victim was rushed to Nile international hospital in Jinja city for better management where he is currently admitted.
The scene was visited and Police visited managed to recover some exhibits to help in investigations .
This is the second armed robbery case in Kamuli district in a period of one week.
