NEWS– Kampala Capital City’s Deputy Lord Mayor Doreen Nyanjura has emotionally pened down a letter to the Police Boss Inspector General of Police Abbas Byakagaba.

Nyanjura’s emotional letter follows the death of her brother Tugume Albert Cook and another person known as Barnabas Sabiti.

Tugume was on Thursday 21st November 2024 brutally murdered in cold blood by yet to be identified assailants at his mobile money and agent banking shop on Ntinda Kiwature road ( Mivule, Central road) before they took off with yet to be known amount of money.

Sabiti, a boda boda rider was critically injured in the scuffle as he tried to help Tugume and he later succumbed to the injured in the hospital where he was admitted.

Here below is Doreen Nyanjura’s letter to IGP👇👇👇👇

Dear IGP Abbas Byakagaba, it’s with a very heavy heart that I type this, concerning the murder of my brother Tugume Albert Cook and Barnabas Sabiti.

A number of questions preoccupy my mind and I demand for answers.

1. I watched you on nbs when you, in passing, mentioned that you have some culprits in your custody. Why have those culprits not been paraded for the public to identify them so that those with information concerning their moves and activities can come forward and volunteer information.

2. Police has also stated that they know some of the actual killers who are currently on the run. Why hasn’t police published the identities of these murderers including their faces and names for the public to track them down? Why has police not placed a bounty on their heads to motivate citizens to hunt them down?

These questions leave a sour taste in my mouth and traumatize me and the rest of my family members.

Are the murderers going to continue walking scot free as my brother rots off in the grave?
