Rukungiri District Woman MP commits to skilling youths troubled by COVID-19 lockdown

RUKUNGIRI-The office of the Rukungiri woman legislator Hon. Natukunda Midius Kaharata has today received six modern sewing machines to equip with tailoring skills to vulnerable girls who will not be able to get back to school as they reopen.

Hon. Natukunda revealed that her main intention is to skill girl child especially those who were impregnated during covid 19 lockdown and are unable to get back to schools so that they can also get survival skills.

Hon Natukunda narrated that those who are going to participate in the training are those who were registered previously calling upon other girls who are willing to be enrolled to be a little patient as she plans to bring in more sewing machines.

She however asked parents to support their children as they go for training such that they can yield the exact intentions of the training.

Hon. Byarugaba Micheal the councilor representing western division in the district council who also witnessed the function appreciated Hon. Natukunda for such a good idea of skilling children calling upon other leaders to emulate her if the District is to develop.

Ainomugisha Rachael and Akampurira Evelyn some of the beneficiary girls thanked Hon. Midius for thinking about them as youths adding that he represent.
