NEWS– Primary seven learners from over 85 government aided Schools from Rubabo County in Rukungiri district are set to sit for pre-Mock examinations courtesy of Mujuni Lawrence Pac Singa Mpitsi who is eyeing the Rubabo County Parliamentary seat.
The examination distribution exercise commenced from Nyakishenyi and Nyarushanje sub Counties respectively and came to Climax in Kebisoni and Buyanja sub counties and town councils respectively.
According to Hon Mpitsi, the examinations are meant to prepare and improve pupil’s performance especially those that are set to sit for their final examinations to compete with their counterparts at the National level.
The aspiring legislator noted that he brought these examinations earlier enough so that even weak learners can start the journey to excellence since practice makes perfect.
Hon Mpitsi stressed that land as a resource is almost getting depleted hence a need for people to invest in education so that the young and energetic can create new forms of survival stressing that such an examination is an opportunity to have the learners exposed to new question techniques that would help them excel in their final year examinations.
Aidah Gumisiriza, Nyesigire Amos, Mpirirwe Jackline, Arinaitwe Solomon, the Rubabo County Inspector of Schools said it is difficult for a pupil in a private school to miss lessons or such exams because parents want accountability for their fees, unlike in government schools, hence hailing Hon Mpitsi for his vision through such an examination.
The headteachers who couldn’t hide their happiness welcomed Hon Mpitsi and promised to support him when time comes asking him to deliberate for their wellbeing once he take on the mantle to lead Rubabo county.
The function was also graced by the aspiring Rukungiri District boss Angelo Twinomuhangi who narrated to the head-teachers that Hon Mpitsi’s hand in education is immeasurable and a chance for them to assess their learners in preparation for better grades at the end of the year.
The exams were prepared and distributed by TARGET EXAMINERS. Hon Mpitsi is also slated to donate another set of exams to candidates in Private schools next week.
