Minister Jim Muhwezi rallies Ugandans to support NRM’s development agenda

RUKUNGIRI- Residents of Rukungiri district have been asked to embrace and support the National Resistance Movement (NRM) government led by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, highlighting the significant infrastructure advancements achieved under his leadership.

The call was made by the Rujumbura County Member of Parliament who doubles as the security Minister Hon. Maj. Gen. Jim Muhwezi during a community-based monitoring and accountability forum popularly known as Baraza held at Buhunga and Ruhinda Sub County headquarters respectively yesterday.

Minister Jim Muhwezi is in his constituency holding Baraza raising awareness of the duties of various levels of leadership and the progress of the NRM manifesto during this five-year tenure. Baraza saw technocrats from departments of water, works, commercial, education and officials from ministry of energy among others discussing the state of affairs in both Sub Counties of Buhunga and Ruhinda.

Hon. Jim Muhwezi said that over 80% of NRM’s manifesto has been achieved, highlighting improvements in infrastructure, healthcare, and education urging residents to continue supporting Museveni’s leadership to sustain these developments and more that are going to come before elections.

His speech received applause, with attendees including Ruhinda Sub County chairperson LC3 Hellen Kabajungu acknowledging Minister Jim Muhwezi and NRM’s impact on Rujumbura County and Rukungiri district at large in terms of development.

In the same Baraza meetings, Hon. Jim Muhwezi strongly appealed to the people of Rukungiri district to deeply get involved in wealth creation following the government’s well thought out intervention of Parish Development Model program.
