NEWS- A devastating bus accident in Poko Poko has allegedly claimed lives of two individuals and left many others injured, marking a tragic event that has sent shockwaves through the local community.
The incident occurred on Easter Sunday evening when a passenger bus, registration number UBR 796N, lost control after one of its front tyres burst, veered off the road, and overturned.
Dozens of others were left injured, some critically, and rushed to Mubende Regional Referral Hospital.
According to initial reports from the local authorities, the bus was traveling the Mubende–Fort Portal road when the incident occurred.
Emergency services were dispatched immediately, and rescuers worked tirelessly to pull survivors from the wreckage.
