According to the Uganda Police force spokesperson ACP Rusoke Kituuma, the three who include the former KCCA Executive Director Dorothy Kisaka, former Deputy Executive Director David Luyimbazi, and former Director of Public Health and Environment, Dr Daniel Okello were on Wednesday 16th October 2024 arrested and detained by police.

Kituuma revealed that the above three were arrested and detained by the police after an engagement with the police team as they appeared at the Criminal Investigations Directorate CID headquarters following the ongoing prosecution-led investigation.

The detained former KCCA officials were on Monday 14th October 2024 summoned by the police to appear at the CID headquarters on 16th October 2024 for an engagement.

The police spokesperson noted that the three detained officials will be arraigned before the courts of law though he didn’t mention when.

“Arising from the ongoing prosecution-led investigation, the three former officials of KCCA have been detained and will be arraigned before courts of law”, Kituuma said.
