NEWS– The Authorities at Kabale Municipal Council have awarded mattresses to the 14 candidates who scored aggregate four (4) in the just released Primary Leaving Examinations’
The council led by the Mayor, Sentaro Byamugisha on 6th February 2025 awarded candidates as a way of recognising their efforts and motivating others towards academic excellence.
According to Mr Byamugisha, out of the 1,822 pupils who sat for the 2024 PLE in Kabale Municipality, 720 passed in division one while 856 passed in division two.
He also pledged to seek funding from his council to reward teachers whose subjects are passed by students achieving distinction scores.
The 2024 Primary Leaving Examinations’ results released in January 2025 indicated a slight improvement from the 2023 results according to the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB).
