TERRIBLE! Disappeared Rukungiri boda boda cyclist found dead

There was a horrible tragedy today as Twebaza Martin Kagame, a motorcyclist from Nyakishenyi sub-county in Rukungiri district, was found dead in Ichuya Forest, Rubanda district.

It is said that Martin was hired to drive a passenger from Kampala to Rukungiri’s Nyakishenyi sub-county.

He picked up another traveler along the way who said he was going to Kisoro.

When Kagame was reported missing, the course of events took a terrible turn.

The suspect is said to have slain him and then used his stolen motorcycle, a Bajaj Boxer with registration UGE 705U, for business reasons in Kisoro municipality.

Kagame’s disappearance was quickly reported to the police by his relatives, who then opened an inquiry.

The police were able to catch one of the suspects who was in possession of the stolen motorcycle through their efforts.

When questioned, the suspect gave the location of where he had gotten the motorcycle and guided the police to the crime scene.

The dead body of Kagame was found in Ichuya Forest after a search conducted by the people of Nyakishenyi Sub County in Rukungiri district.

After actively participating in the search, Nyakishenyi residents discovered the body in Karengyeri Parish, Muko sub-county in Rubanda district.

The body was removed by police and taken for a postmortem inspection before being given to the family to be buried with dignity.

The councilor for Kacence Parish in the Nyakishenyi sub-county, Arineitwe Hisdolo Matumbika, affirmed that the suspect who supplied the location of the body is being detained at Rukungiri CPS.

In addition, Matumbika commended the community’s efforts, pointing out that more than a hundred locals took part in the search that resulted in the disturbing finding.

The terrible loss has had a profound impact on the neighborhood, with many asking for justice for Kagame and anticipating a speedy conclusion to the case.
