St Francis Buhunga High School celebrates stellar performance in National Exams

RUKUNGIRI- Students were urged to be patriotic with their schools and entrust with God if they are to have a brighter future.

This was revealed by Asiimwe Tracy, clerk to council who represented chief administrative officer Rukungiri during the celebration of UCE and UACE examination results at St. Francis Buhunga high school in Buhunga Sub County.

It was an incredible achievement as the school celebrated 60 students passed in result one for UCE and 86 for UACE for last year’s examination set.

Asiimwe credited the strong performance to the administration and teachers’ positive working relationships as well as the parents’ fulfillment of all school requirements. St. Francis was the second government aided school in the district with result one in last year’s UCE exams.

Nahwera Santrinah, the district vice chairperson reflecting on the transformation brought by the school, expressed gratitude towards the authorities for their dedicated efforts. She encouraged current candidates to approach their studies with seriousness and determination to uphold the school’s esteemed reputation.

Rev Fr Kwitonda Posiano the chaplain for Catholics schools in Rutooma parish EXPRESSED dissatisfaction with political leaders whom he said don’t love education within their communities, stressing that it’s time to wake up and lobby for their sub counties better education services.

Mugisha Julius Kakwara the head teacher St Francis Buhunga Hugh School revealed that the school will keep offering high-quality education to enable learners become important citizens in future.

He however expressed challenges of understaffing and infrastructures pointing out that for the last 41 years, they have never benefited from the government despite being a government aide school with universal secondary education.
