Rukungiri Municipality MP hopeful Andrew Kikira urges public to utilise gov’t programs

Christians were appealed to embrace government programs as a move to eradicate poverty out of their homes. The Rukungiri Municipality Parliamentary seat Hopeful Andrew Ankunda Kikira expressed this during the catechist day thanksgiving held at Kinyiinya Catholic Church in Western Division, Rukungiri municipality.

Andrew Kikira stressed that the NRM government has always come up with numerous programs aimed at alleviating the citizens from poverty, the latest one being the Parish Development model.

He asked the congregation to advocate for peace and urged parents to take the lead in empowering their children by taking them to school so that they can have a bright future. Ankunda Andrew Kikira contributed 500,000 towards the cause and promised to support them whenever there is a need.

Innocent Beyongyera aka Baller who is eyeing the Rukungiri Municipality Mayorship condemned Ugandans engaging in witchcraft as haters of development and asked them to repent especially during this lent period.

Beyongyera asked Christians to desist from hate speech especially as the country approaches election season and asked them to vote for competent leaders who will deliver services to their communities.

Joseph Tumwebaze the Kinyinya Catholic Church Catechist hailed the guest of honor and congregation for the support and urged Christians to be compassionate, always ask forgiveness to live at peace with fellows.
