Prime Minister Nabbanja assures people of government’s commitment to end TB & Leprosy

 NEWS– The Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda and the leader of government business Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja has assured people of the government’s commitment to end Tuberculosis and Leprosy in the country.

Hon. Nabbanja delivered her message on Thursday 28th November 2024 as she officiated the opening of a two day 7th Annual TB and Leprosy Stakeholders Conference at at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala.

A report by the Ministry of Health indicates that 96,000 Ugandans are diagnosed with TB annually and that 27 people die of TB in Uganda daily which Nabbanja said is worrying and need urgent attention.

The Premier expressed her gratitude which she said are on a positive note started a bid to avert this trend  is developing a supportive environment to promote  Prevention of TB & Leprosy using people centered approaches.

Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja stressed that Uganda under the ‘wise leadership’ of H.E President Kaguta Museveni is committed to completely end Tuberculosis & Leprosy.
