Police arrest five activists in Kampala Thursday protests

NEWS– The police in Kampala are currently holding five people who were arrested in Kampala Thursday demonstrations.

The detained is a group of environmental activists from the Weka Afri Sustainable Biodiversity and Food Security Foundation.

The detained group of five on Thursday 10th October 2024 morning staged a protest in Kampala holding placards.

The activists were chanting slogans to express their dissatisfaction with the government and the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) before five of them were rounded up by police during the demonstration.
