KAMPALA- Democratic Party-DP president general, Norbert Mao, has condemned the hypocrisy among party leaders which keeps on causing disputes within the party.
He made the remarks while opening the Party’s National Council Meeting in Soroti district.
Mao said that the creation of Democratic Party Block (DP Block) was to reconcile party members who were divided that time but some conspired to use the platform to overthrow him.
He noted that he discovered later that the block had plans to ally with the leader of National Unity Platform -NUP Robert Kyagulanyi to support him for presidency in 2021 general elections. He said that there was no need to pass via his back on such plans because DP believes in a unified opposition force.
