NEWS- Several lives are feared to have been tragically lost in a Tuesday evening accident near Mpologoma Swamp along the Tirinyi–Budaka–Mbale road.
By press time, Police and local authorities were at the scene, working in tandem to rescue survivors and recover the bodies.
The deceased are being transported to mortuaries in either Mbale or Tirinyi as survivors were also rushed to the same facilities for medical attention.

It should be remembered that in 2019, six people perished, eleven got injured in a road accident along the same Iganga-Tirinyi-Mbale highway.
The speeding taxi registration number UBE 689L busrt its tyre at Buyange village in Namutumba, veered off the road and overturned several times.
