RUKUNGIRI- Ven. Can. George Bazahuza, the archdeacon of Bwambara Archdeaconry has called upon women to be compassionate to both their spouses and children in order to establish a solid basis for marriages.
Ven. Can. Bazahuza made the call on Monday during the send-off ceremony of late Joy Rwakasyagure who was the strong supporter of NRM government and Mother-in law to senior journalist Mugabirwe Caleb Bahikaho in Omukayaga village, Kyabahanga parish in Bwambara Sub County, Rukungiri district.
Addressing the mourners, Bazahuza urged women to emulate late Joy, who despite all adversity loved and cared for her husband and children, learnt to be patient until God called her.

During the send-off ceremony, Isaac Kaharuza, speaking on behalf of Hon. Jim Muhwezi, praised the late Rwakasyagure for her significant contribution to the government and her hardworking nature.
In order to enjoy a long and fulfilling life, Kaharuza advised family members to follow the footsteps of their late mother, who valued learning and loving people.

According to Isaac Kaharuza, the people of Bwambara requested Hon. Jim to accord Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) control of the road connecting Bwambara Trading Center to Kyabahanga Bridge so that it could be properly maintained. Their request was granted, and the road is today in good shape.
He added that lack of water has been an issue for the people of Kyabahanga, but he was optimistic that the issue will be resolved quickly since he had been in touch with the appropriate authorities to take action.

Caleb Bahikaho narrated that his fallen mother-in-law as a parent who fulfilled her duties until her death. Bahikayo advised men to constantly respect their wives’ human rights and integrity because they are really responsible for changing families.
Joy Rwakasyagure, who left behind 10 children, 50 grandchildren, and 43 great-grandchildren, passed away at the age of 80 losing the battle to diabetes.
