NEWS-Five people have been confirmed dead and 7 others seriously injured after truck rammed into boda boda riders at Kabuusu roundabout, Rubaga Division in Kampala.
The incident happened today morning at 8:30 am, according to police the accident claimed lives of 3 boda boda riders identified as Gerald Ssemata, Semei Ndondo and another only identified as Ssenfuma others are Florence Nansubuga, a female passenger on bike and the fifth passanger who’s yet to be identified also lost her life in the crash.

The traffic police spokesperson, Faridah Nampiima, said that the motor vehicle involved, registration number UBH 321T, Isuzu Elf, was being driven by a one Ssembatya Gerald, while the five motorcycles involved were all Bajaj Boxers, UFN 226F, UET 422T, UEZ 579U, UFH 520P, UEX 504C and a bicycle (sport bike).
Police said the bodies of the deceased were conveyed to KCCA mortuary for postmortem examination, while the injured victims were rushed to Mulago Referral Hospital, for treatment.
The Rubaga accident happened just hours after another truck on Wednesday night crashed into Awoja swamp along Soroti –Mbale highway, about 300km east of Kampala, killing five and injuring seven others.
