RUKUNGIRI- Andrew Ankunda Kikira, the Rukungiri Municipality hopeful Member of Parliament has reminded the business community of Rukungiri district to stay committed to their mission of building a resilient economy by embracing business as a way of life.
Ankunda made the remarks yesterday while presiding over as the guest speaker during the seminar organized by Rukungiri Entrepreneurs and Business Development Association held at Hotel Riverside in Eastern Division Rukungiri Municipality.
Ankunda outlined huge cluster raw materials mainly of agro products which need value addition by setting up factories in Rukungiri Municipality urging them to keep united if they are to achieve this.
According to Ankunda, if the business community comes together, the government can easily assist them in starting up factories that help them add value to their products.
Rukungiri Entrepreneurs and Business Development Association informed Ankunda that they are working on a commercial real estate project with the goal of increasing their earnings and he supported them with 5 Million shillings.

Byaruhanga Chrysostom Rwakana, the chairperson Rukungiri Entrepreneurs and Business Development Association commended Ankunda for lecturing them on how to create business concepts and implement value addition to advance the Municipality and boost their revenue.
According to Rwakana, the business community views these leaders as the ones they want and hopes that Ankunda will voice their concerns when elected.

Saul Katazahansi and Canon Sabiiti Mahirane some of Rukungiri Entrepreneurs and Business Development Association members stated that they have been having leaders who have not presented these kinds of ideas for development, promising their support to Ankunda Andrew Kikira so that they can gain as a business community as well.
