NEWS– The police in Kajjansi are holding a 50 year old man for allegedly defiling his own step daughter.
According to the police report, a 40 year old businesswoman and a mother to the victim one Zukah Nakisuyi a resident of Bweya Kajjansi on September 30, 2024 reported a defilement case involving her 14-year-old daughter (Names Withheld) and Ali Mwizerwa a 50-year-old resident of Bweya Kajjansi.
The suspect Ali Mwizerwa is the victim’s stepfather.
It is alleged he committed the offence between May and September 2024.
The Police initiated Investigations and the suspect was subsequently arrested by Kajjansi police.
On 11th October 2024, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) sanctioned the case file leading to the suspect’s appearance before the chief magistrate’s court on charges of aggravated defilement on that day.
The suspect was then remanded and is currently in the custody.
