The residents of Kashenyi Cell in Kabwooma Parish Sub County, Rujumbura County in Rukungiri district expressed their joy after receiving a donation of 200 plastic chairs from their Member of Parliament and security Minister, Retired Major General Jim Muhwezi.
The donation event took place yesterday, as part of a commitment made by the MP to support the community.
During the event, the Minister of Security, Hon. Maj Gen. Jim Muhwezi Katuguugu, was represented by Moses Mugabe, who led the donation team.
Mugabe thanked the residents for their warm welcome and stressed that fulfilling promises requires patience.
Kirungi Geoffrey, the Chairperson of Kashenyi Cell, also expressed gratitude for the donation. He noted that receiving the chairs is a positive step, and he is hopeful for additional support from Hon. Jim Muhwezi.
Residents, including Kwatampora Julius and Kirungi Peace, shared their excitement about the fulfillment of the donation. The residents thanked their legislator Retired Major General Jim Muhwezi for addressing their needs and expressed hope for continued support.
The event marked a significant step towards improving the community’s facilities, with residents optimistic about future development initiatives.
