RUKUNGIRI- In a tragic accident that occurred last night, three people have been confirmed to have lost their lives when a Perfect bus collided with a passenger taxi near Omukiragiro trading centre in Buyanja Town Council along the Rukungiri Ntungamo road.
The accident according to Rukungiri Police department occurred at around 10Pm. The deceased persons are, a taxi conductor only identified as Ronald, unidentified lady who was an occupant in the taxi and a child of Congolese origin who was a passenger of the bus.
The bus belonging to perfect Coaches was enroute to Kampala from Kihihi in Kanungu District as the taxi was heading towards Rukungiri Town from Mbarara side.
Details about the cause of the accident remain scanty as the Police are still investigating.
The injured passengers were rushed to Karoli Lwanga Hospital Nyakibale and Doctors Case Medicals all in Rukungiri Municipality for medical attention as bodies of deceased persons were taken to Rwakabengo Health Centre III for postmortem examination.
