RUKUNGIRI- Parents and guardians have been asked to develop a saving culture if to fully educate their children and provide all other basic needs of their families.
The call was made by Abaasa Benjamin the founder of Bridge of Hope Ministries a non governmental organization based in Kebisoni Sub County, Rukungiri district during their annual thanks giving function held at Hotel Riverside.

While speaking to the parents and their children, Nbaasa narrated that without embracing a saving culture, one can’t get out of poverty since one can invest the little saving and reap big.
He also asked parents to generate some income projects rather than just waiting for organizations and the government to rescue them from poverty.
Abaasa however asked the public to always have a giving heart to vulnerable groups especially during this time of festive seasons explaining that it’s when they will be blessed and get more from God.
Kamusime Glorious and Moses Abinsinguza some of the parents thanked Bridge of Hope for standing with them as well caring for their children calling for the same spirit for the good future and better families.

Akankwatsa Charity the beneficially child thanked the organization for providing her with school fees promising to work hard to achieve her goal for the bright future.
According to Nabaasa, the organisation helps over two 200 households and each child receives a minimum of Ugx 40,000 monthly to help them for their sustainability.
Abaasa added that as they enjoy their Christmas season, each child was given ugx.60,000 and other items including rice, posho and soap to help them in this period.
Meanwhile the offertories got from the thanksgiving which included beans, posho, cabbages, bananas, cash money among others were later donated to inmates of Rukungiri prison to help them during this christmas festivities.
The organization aimed at helping vulnerable children started in 2009 and is supported by Bridge of Hope Charity Organization based in UK.
