VIPPU retirees urged to maintain discipline & smartness

NEWS– Retiring Police officers from the Very Important Persons Protection Unit (VIPPU) have been encouraged to maintain discipline and smartness during their lives.

This was on Friday 29th November 2024 contained in a message delivered by Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Waswa Ssengendo, Director of Counter terrorism during a colourful sendoff ceremony at the VIPPU office in Nsambya.

The function saw a total of 20 police officers retire from the Police Force after clocking mandatory 60 years of retirement.

AIGP Ssengendo praised the retirees for their patriotism, tireless dedication to their country and perseverance.

He encouraged them to remain disciplined and smart as they continue to represent the police force in their future endeavors. 

While representing the retirees, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ecol expressed gratitude to the Uganda Police Force for the support received during their career.

He advised his colleagues to plan carefully for their pension if they are survive well.
