RUKIGA- Kyasiimire Barbra the acting deputy resident district commissioner for Rukiga has thanked the proprietors of Rukiga Sacco for creating a platform that has contributed to the development of people not only in Rukiga but Kigezi and Uganda as a whole.
Kyasiimire said this on Saturday during the Annual General Meeting of Rukiga Sacco that took place at the Sacco Headquarters in Muhanga town council Rukiga district.
She encouraged members who brow money to always repay in time so that other members can also benefit from the Sacco.
This according to her can sustain the longevity in serving and Sacco growth. She also assured the Rukiga district community that have not yet benefited from parish development model to remain hopeful stressing that anytime they’re set to get the money to help them alleviate their households from poverty.

The Rukiga Sacco chairperson of Board of Directors Rev. Ivan Muhoozi assured members that there is steady progress in their Sacco operations despite some challenges the external pressure from competitors who have always worked to tarnish the Sacco name.

Tony kibalama from the office of Registrar in the ministry of trade industry and cooperatives commended Rukiga Sacco BOD for holding their AGM to share accountability with members noting that Rukiga Sacco is service exemplary to other cooperatives.
Kibalama pointed out that the Sacco has helped in creating job opportunities to Ugandans in their nine branches across Kigezi region.
