Parents urged to ensure education of their children

RUKUNGIRI- Parents have been urged to fully carry the responsibilities for their children’s education rather than investing in unbeneficial worldly things.

Lydia Tushemerirwe the Rukungiri inspector of schools made the appeal yesterday during the thanksgiving and graduation of top class celebration at Ruhika qualitative nursery and primary school in Buyanja town council, Rukungiri District.

Tushemerirwe emphasized that early childhood education is a government program designed to sharpen pupils’ integrity and ability to differentiate different aspects in anticipation of a brighter future for their families and the country at large. The inspector pointed out that, with or without government assistance, the role of raising children remains a parent’s duty and that children are gifts from God that shouldn’t be denied their right of good education.

Kabareebe Wilson Eliot, the Ruhika Qualitative Nursery and Primary School resident director and supervisor called upon parents to priotise education of their children stressing that it’s the only lifetime investment their can offer them.

The Ruhika Qualitative Nursery and Primary School Headteacher emphasized his commitment to the well-being of children and hailed the parents for coming to witness the graduation of their children. He urged parents to prioritize education in order to prepare their children for a secure future in spheres.

79 pupils were awarded with certificates from early childhood education to primary level.
