Member of Parliament for Rukungiri municipality Dr. Elisa Rutahigwa has fulfilled his pledge by donating 100 bags of cement to support development projects at Rukondo Catholic Church and Rukondo Primary School in Western division, Rukungiri Municipality.
Dr. Rutahigwa yesterday handed over 50 bags of cement to the church located in Kafunda Cell and another 50 bags to Rukondo Primary School, both in Karangaro Ward, Eastern Division.
The legislator had earlier made these pledges while serving as chief guest during fundraising events at both institutions. Speaking at the handover ceremonies, Dr. Rutahigwa reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling promises, unlike many leaders who make pledges and fail to deliver.
Dr. Rutahigwa commonly known as Omuturagye pledged to continue supporting places of worship, schools, and community groups without discrimination.
