RUKUNGIRI– Christians have been urged to always allow Jesus Christ to be part of their lives if they are to be successful in earthly lives.
This was revealed by Ven. Jaron Atusinguza the archdeacon Nyabitete Archdeaconry who was the preacher during the baptism and thanks giving of Baryanjuna Abraham, the councilor representing Kigaaga Ward in Rukungiri Municipal council and his wife Rachael, a function held at Kakonkoma Church of Uganda.
Ven. Atusinguza explained that we all need Jesus’ power to be successful in our lives stressing that God is always ready to help us as long as we allow him in our lives.
He also asked people to always pray, be hopeful, love, has trust as some of the principles for one to be successful.
Proceeds from the Baryajuna’s thanks giving were intended for tiling the Church floor.
The function was also graced by the Rukungiri Municipality legislator Hon. Dr. Elisa Rutahigwa who thanked religious leaders for the big role they play in comforting people who face different challenges.
Dr. Rutahigwa asked Christians to always support their churches for development to be realized in the entire community.
He however called people of Rukungiri Municipality residents and the entire district to continue adherence to Covid 19 guidelines narrating that the virus is still with us and the situation might turn worse since the new “OMICRON virus” is spreading at a high rate although no case has been registered in East Africa.
The Rukungiri district boss Kyomukama Geoffrey who graced the same function rallied Christians to utilize this rainy season to grow crops and increase food security in their families.
Abraham and his wife Rachael thanked all people who supported them calling for the same spirit whenever there’s a call.
Over Ugx 4M was raised to support the renovation of the church.
