Male adult found dead at Rukungiri Municipality’s Rwamahwa market

This morning, a shocking discovery at Rwamahwa Market in Kakabada Ward, Rukungiri Municipality, has left traders and residents in deep worry. An unidentified male body, estimated to be below 30 years old, was found abandoned near the market’s lockups behind the Rukungiri district headquarters, on the council road.

The grim find was made by a trader who, upon arriving to open her stall, noticed what she initially thought was an intoxicated man lying motionless. Fearful of approaching the body, she called out to nearby residents for help. Upon closer inspection, they discovered that the man was unresponsive, prompting an immediate alert to local authorities.

Witnesses indicated that signs of violence were apparent on the body, raising concerns about foul play. The police swiftly arrived at the scene and transported the body to Rwakabengo Health Center III for a postmortem examination.
