NEWS-Hon. Peace Mutuuzo the State Minister for Gender, Labor, and Social Development has appealed to all school heads and stakeholders to create a conducive environment for lactating mothers to resume their studies since schools fully reopened.
Hon Mutuuzo made the remarks while speaking to participants in the regional meeting about responding to sexual and gender-based violence and this happened yesterday in Kampala.
Mutuuzo narrated that it’s unfortunate since some schools stopped expectant or breastfeeding mothers (learners) from continuing with their studies yet they were impregnated during long Covid 19 lockdown.
She however revealed that those learners who have gotten pregnant at an early age will not be stopped from their studies but rather in case, a school should put on a special room for breastfeeding.
