Rukungiri Municipality emerges 5th in 2024 PLE

NEWS- The Rukungiri municipal Education officer Katabazi Alfred has argued Head teachers to ensure teamwork with both their subordinates and parents in their schools if they want to register excellence. While speaking during the Rukungiri municipal Headteachers general meeting after the release of 2024 Primary Leaving Examinations Katabazi said that all School heads should adhere to team work in a bid to ensure good results.

He asked them to be strategic leaders, always to hold meetings and parents to focus on achievements and plan accordingly.

The Rukungiri municipal Senior inspector of schools Musiimenta Juliet congratulated all Headteachers upon commendable examination results indicating that among 1,192 candidates that sat for the exams in Rukungiri Municipality, 435 passed in first grade, 639 in division two, 86 in division three, 12 in division four and only 12 were ungraded.

Musimenta announced that Rukungiri Municipality emerged 5th countrywide compared to last year when it was the 6th.

The chairperson Rukungiri Municipality Primary Schools’ Head Teachers Association and also the Headteacher of Nyakibale Upper Boarding primary school Mugisha Bruno expressed his gratitude to fellows for the work well done in ensuring education of the pupils.

Mugisha urged them to keep the momentum and thanked Municipal Education officer and his staff for the support he accorded to them.
