Journalists tipped on their safety while on duty

NEWS– Journalists and media practitioners have been encouraged to prioritize their lives’ safety when securing their duties.

This was during a safety and Security Management Training for Journalists in Kalangala conducted by Human Rights Network for Journalists- Uganda.

During the training, Journalists in Kalangala district were empowered and trained at different aspects. 

Among the aspects, the HRNJ-Uganda conducted a two-day Safety and Security Management Training for journalists focused on equipping media practitioners with skills and tools to safeguard themselves while carrying out their vital work of informing the public.

According to HRNJ-U, this initiative was proudly sponsored by different organizations demonstrating a shared commitment to promoting press freedom and journalist safety in Uganda.

“Together, we can create a safer environment for journalists to thrive and continue being the voice of the people”, HRNJ-U added.
