NEWS– The Uganda National Roads Authority has advised for a temporary diversion of traffic due to slippery road Conditions at Kalonga along Mityana-Mubende Highway
According to UNRA, a 1Km section of the road at Kalonga is currently experiencing traffic congestion due to slippery conditions caused by heavy rains stressing that this has coincided with ongoing maintenance works making it difficult for motorists to access the area.
“To ease the situation, our teams are working swiftly to address the bottleneck. In the meantime, motorists are advised to use an alternative route”, part of UNRA statement read
The alternative route advised is diverting at Myanzi and proceed via Kassanda-Maddudu-Kiyuuya road, turn Left to re-connect to the Mubende Highway.
UNRA further notes that the diversion is a gravel but motorable road and that the alternative route adds approximately 25 kms to the journey.
The authority sincerely apologized for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s understanding as they work to restore normal traffic flow.
