NEWS-The Health Minster Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng has advised the medical interns who are on strike to stop miss behaving because the Government has already promised to meet their demands as the supplementary budget is in pipeline .
Minister Aceng said this at a press conference in Kampala. The minister also reminded the medical interns that internship is a training period stressing that they stand to lose if they don’t go through this medical practice and finalize with it.
This helps the medical interns to get registered as medical personnel if not this will delay their registration and it is upon them to take the government’s decision or leave it.
According to the Lira City Woman MP, everything that was demanded by the interns was committed to by the government and is in the pipeline.
She asked the striking medical interns to listen to their Association because it has more bargaining power than individuals.
On the same note Dr Aceng said all their promises were put in writing by the Prime Minister, she condemned the act saying considering the current situation were covid 19 has disrupted services everyone is wanting on their services as medics.
