NEWS– The Western Uganda’s famous Bushenyi district’s Engineer has been arrested over mismanagement of funds.
Mr. Barnabas Kizza Mbonimpa, the Bushenyi District engineer was on 5th February 2025 arrested by the Western Ankole Civil Society Forum from his office at the district headquarters.
Barnabas Kizza Mbonimpa was then after handed over to Bushenyi Central police station.
Western Civil Society Forum accused Mr. Mbonimpa of allegedly embezzling Ugx 339M meant for the construction of Kabushaho seed school playground.
Available reports indicate that Kizza’s arrest followed ongoing investigations into the mismanagement of funds allocated for playground construction.
In a video clip that has since gone viral, members of the Western Ankole Civil society Forum are heard demanding accountability of funds for the construction of the playground from the district engineer Mr. Mbonimpa.
