NEWS– In keeping with with their party tradition, the National Unity Platform has extended help to the families of their colleagues who were allegedly murdered, those who are in prisons and those that were abducted and are still missing.

This was on Saturday 8th February 2024 in an event hosted at the National Unity Platform headquarters in Makerere Kavuule.

Led by the party President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi wine and the Party general secretary David Lewis Rubongoya, the NUP leaders offered scholastic materials and a portion of school fees as the children are going back to school.

Bobi wine noted that it was very emotional listening to stories of their comrades especially those who were killed and those who were taken away by security operatives four, five years ago and have never been found up to now.

He used the same occasion to appreciate the pupils who are performing very well in school, and asked the rest to work very hard despite the pain they have had to live.

Once again, Kyagulanyi encouraged everyone who has some means to approach their welfare office at the National Unity Platform Headquarters and see how to support these children or their parents.

“We remain hopeful that one day, there will be justice”, he added.

Among the distributed items were books, pens, pencils, Jerry cans, toilet papers, food carrying containers, soap and many others.
