A remarkable Thanksgiving service took place today at Kibunda Church of Uganda, where over 3.5 million Ugandan shillings were collected to support the church’s building fund. The event celebrated Mr. Bosco Byamugisha and his family, drawing a diverse crowd from various locations.

Rev. Canon Polly Katwesigye, the Archdeacon of Kyamakanda, expressed deep gratitude towards Mr. Byamugisha for organizing the Thanksgiving, highlighting the unity it fostered among attendees.

He praised Byamugisha for openly acknowledging the blessings God has bestowed upon him and his family.

In his address, Rev. Katwesigye emphasized the importance of patience and trust in marriage, commending Mr. Byamugisha’s wife for her steadfast support over their 40 years together. He encouraged others to follow Byamugisha’s example in expressing gratitude for God’s blessings in their lives.

“Let us preach unity and cooperation,” he urged, warning against divisiveness among church leaders and congregants.

Mr. Johnbosco Byamugisha shared that the Thanksgiving was a heartfelt tribute to God for allowing him and his wife to celebrate four decades of marriage and for the gift of life.

He expressed pride in his two children, thanking God for their family.

Byamugisha also extended his appreciation to the attendees for their overwhelming support and affirmed his commitment to work closely with church leaders for ongoing development initiatives.

“I will continue to love my wife until the end of my life,” he promised, highlighting the significance of integrity and partnership in a lasting marriage.

The event concluded with a call to unity and gratitude, reinforcing the community’s commitment to supporting their church and each other.
