150 Youth-led micro agro enterprises to benifit from Cordaid covid-19 recovery cash

NEWS- Cordaid, a non government organisation has earmarked ugx 150 million to extend financial support to 150 youth-led micro and small agro enterprises that were adversely affected by the Covid-19 crisis in Nebbi and Lira districts.

Through the Covid Youth Agribusiness Recovery project, funded by the Standard Chartered Foundation’s Futuremakers program, a global initiative to end poverty.

Selected struggling businesses including producers, processors and input dealerships are equitably to get awarded with individual hardship recovery grants, based on an evaluation of their immediate needs.

The project is also strengthening partnerships with experts in the private sector to equip 600 vulnerable micro and small agro- enterprises in Nebbi and Lira districts with skills in business development, financial literacy, and adaptive marketing.
