Christians have been urged to be Merciful to one another in order to enjoy happy and fulfilling lives.

This was revealed by Bishop Callist Rubaramira of Kabale Diocese while preaching to thousands of Christians who had gathered at Mary Queen of Apostles Parish Rwamagaya in Ruhinda Sub County Rukungiri district during the official opening of the Presbytery (priest’s house).

While preaching during the mass, Bishop Rubaramira urged Christians to inculcate the spirit of sacrifice by doing things for others without looking for reward as exhibited by Christ when He died on the cross for mankind.

Bishop added by encouraging Christians to have mindset change in a bid to have income at their household level explaining that God also loves hard working people more than dependants.

Speaking to the gathering, the Rujumbura County area Member of Parliament who is also the minister of security Maj. Gen. Jim Muhwezi promised to always lobby service from the government since they rendered full support to NRM and President Museveni in 2021 general elections.

Muhwezi used the occasion to remind Rukungiri residents about the poor State of roads urging them to be patient as the Government will soon work on them.

Muhwezi said that this has been caused by the current heavy rains across the country.

Hon. Midius Natukunda Kaharata the Rukungiri district Woman Member of Parliament asked churches to always have income generating projects like how Rwamagaya Catholic Parish did as this assist them in their regular services.

Over Ugx. 600M was spent on Rwamagaya Parish Presbytery house  where well-known tycoon Posiano Ngabirano contributed 400M.
