The territorial Police at Kasese CPS have on Thursday, August 14th 2025 registered a fatal road crash that claimed two lives.
SP Nelson Tumushime the Spokesperson Police for Kasese area told the press that the accident occurred at approximately 12:40PM when a Motorvehicle Reg No. UBS 891C, Toyota Hiace Collided with Motorvehicle Reg No UAV 674Q, Mitsubishi Pajero.
Tumushime notes that the car tried to overtake and thereby causing the tragic incident that saw two people losing their lives.
The Police spokesman identified the deceased persons as Mbusa David and Maate Mathias.
He adds that other passengers sustained serious injuries and were transported to Different Hospitals in Kasese Municipality for Medical Care.
The incident happened in Muhokya Town, along Kasese Mbarara Road and Tumushime attributes it to Speeding, Reckless Driving and failure to exercise caution while driving, such as not checking for pedestrians or other vehicles.
The police now cautions road users on preventing accidents emphasizes the importance of adhering to traffic regulations.
