Three secondary school teachers remanded over suspected malpractice

NEWS– Three teachers have been remanded to Namukozi prison over malpractice.

The three were on 22nd October 2024 remanded to prison until 29th October 2024 after they appeared before His worship Wakooli Grace of the Mityana Grade 1 Magistrate Court.

The three remanded teachers are accused of possessing unauthorised examination material.

The three were allegedly found by a UNEB scout, with a copy of the chemistry examination paper inside the laboratory where the preparations for the Chemistry Practical were under way.

The detained are Thomas Onyoto of Hillside Kalongo S.S, David Sekiganda and Livingstone Kambugu all of Bujjubi S.S in Mityana.

According to Dan Odongo, the Uganda National Examinations Board UNEB secretary the act by the three remanded teachers is contrary to the section 25 of the UNEB act cap 259.
