NEWS– The police in the Greater Bushenyi region in Sheema District have in their detention two people in connection to the death of a three year old baby.
The arrested according to police are Naboth Ahimbisibwe a 51-year-old male, and Reagan Ntoreine a 19-year-old male, both residents of Kamurinda Cell, Runyinya Parish, Kigarama Subcounty in Sheena district.
It is alleged that on the night of 31st January, 2025 at around 9:00pm Reagan Ntoreine had a quarrel with his wife, Namaganda Mariam which escalated into a physical altercation.
During this incident, Mariam fled to a neighbor’s house, leaving their three-month-old baby in bed.
When she returned the following morning, she discovered that the baby had died.
The police visited the scene, the body was transported to Kabwohe Health Centre IV Mortuary for a postmortem examination.
Police condemned the actions of turning targeting the innocent infant.
