Police in Kabale are mounting investigations surrounding the death of an unidentified male adult who was headed by unknown assailants.
ASP. Elly Maate the Kigezi Region police spokesperson told journalists that the incident was reported by Wilson Turinawe the area chairperson Lc1 Makanga cell, Butobere ward, Central division, Kabale municipality.
Maate said that today 21 Sept. 2022 at around 10:00am, one Orikiriza James and his brothers, while they were heading to cut logs from their eucalyptus tree plantation, they found a
beheaded male adult body of unknown person.
Maate told the press that they immediately informed the chairperson who in turn alerted the police.
A case of murder by unknown was registered, scene visited and documented and body taken to Kabale hospital mortuary for postmortem.
The Canine team visited the scene, made a track but didn’t succeed in discovering the missing parts and the identification of the suspects.
Body searched but no documents recovered for identification of the said deceased.
Whoever is missing his or her dear one, should visit the mortuary so that it is identified and taken for burial and if anyone has information that can lead to the suspects, should volunteer it so that they are brought to book.
