Rukungiri residents gear up to attend Katuna border reopening thanksgiving

The Kabale chairperson LC5 who is also the chairperson organizing committee for Muhoozi’s Rukundo Egumeho” thanks giving in Kigezi Mr. Nelson Nshangabashaija commonly known as Baba Tata has informed President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni that his Son, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba is the ripe and ready to succeed him in case he decides to retire as the President of Uganda.

Nshangabashaija made the remarks yesterday Tuesday 11th April 2023 while presiding over the friendly football match between Akataka FC and Rwenshama Football club that was held at Rwenshama playground in Bwambara Sub County Rukungiri district.

Nshangabashaija’s visit was intended to mobilize Rukungiri people to attend Muhoozi’s “Rukundo Egumeho” thanksgiving slated to take place on 19th April 2023 in Kabale district.

Nshangabashaija said that they support President Museveni and his NRM government asking him that when he feels he cannot kick anymore, they have the standby generator (Gen. Muhoozi Keinerugaba) to take over the power.

He hailed President Museveni for his tireless efforts in maintaining peace and stability across different countries Somalia, South Sudan and currently in DR Congo.

He also thanked Gen. Muhoozi for the more effort rendered towards the reopening of the Katuna border in Kabale that was closed for a long time.

Frank Rukanurwa the business tycoon who hails from Bwambara Sub County in Rukungiri district and the supporter of Team Chairman MK Project disclosed that MK Project has a clear vision of ensuring Ugandans are mobilized under the same umbrella for a generational cause.

Rukanurwa added that team MK is the generation leader who wants to support and develop the youth with talents among which is football since they are leaders of tomorrow.

Meanwhile Turyahabwe Innocent aka Kayino the chairperson team chairman MK Project now known as MK Movement in Rukungiri revealed that they are creating awareness amongst the people of Rukungiri on the forthcoming Muhoozi’s Rukundo Egumeho thanksgiving in Kabale on 18th and 19th April 2023.

Turyahabwe said that over 30,000 people from Rukungiri will attend the function in Kabale thanking the people who are currently providing the support for the cause.

Rwenshama football club took the trophy after beating Akataka FC with 7 goals to 6 during penalties.
