Dedication service at Immaculate Heart Girls School Nyakibale

In a heartfelt ceremony held at Immaculate Heart Girls School Nyakibare, 521 S4 candidates were dedicated to God in preparation for the upcoming UNEB exams starting tomorrow. The event, led by Father Conrad Atuhaire, the parish priest of Nyakibare, aimed to invoke divine guidance and support as the students embark on this critical academic journey.

Father Conrad’s sermon emphasized the significance of leadership as a divine gift, urging students and attendees to seek God’s mercy and guidance. He highlighted the importance of resilience and faith during challenging times, encouraging students to face their exams with a strong spiritual foundation stating that prayer is a source of comfort and strength, underscoring its role in helping students navigate the pressures of final exams.

Farther Conrad also spoke about the need for forgiveness, advising students to let go of anger and stress to achieve a clearer mind. While not directly related to exams, this message resonated deeply, reinforcing the idea that spiritual well-being is crucial for academic success.

Sister Grace Merry Naturinda, the Deputy Headteacher, expressed her gratitude for the large turnout of students, acknowledging it as a gift from God. She congratulated the candidates for reaching this milestone since joining the school in Senior One citing that they have prepared their students thoroughly, equipping them to tackle their exams confidently.

She emphasized the importance of discipline, urging all S4 candidates across Uganda to remain calm and focused during the exam period, as academic success is intertwined with personal conduct. Remarkably Sister Grace revealed that discipline and academic achievement go hand in hand.

The Deputy Headteacher also took the opportunity to thank the government and the Ministry of Education for introducing a new curriculum aimed at empowering students to become job creators rather than job seekers. This vision aligns with the school’s mission to foster not only academic excellence but also personal growth among its students.

As the students prepare to face their exams, the community’s prayers and support serve as a powerful reminder of the strength found in faith and unity. The dedication was not just a ceremony but a collective commitment to the students’ success in their final academic endeavors.
