NEWS– Hon. Grace Akifeza Ngabirano has taken Oath as the new Kisoro District Woman Representative.
Akifeza Ngabirano took his oath on 26th November 2024 during the plenary of Parliament in Kampala Uganda.
The speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Anitah Annet Among has urged the new member Hon. Grace Akifeza Ngabiranoto be a servant leader.
“Serve your people of Kisoro; start from where the late left,” said Among.
Anitah Among also handed Hon. Akifeza Ngabirano copies of the Constitution and Rules of Procedure.
The speaker of Parliament designated Hon. Akifeza as a member of committees on the Education and sports & Public accounts local government.
The independent Hon. Akifeza was on 15th November 2024 declared the winner of Kisoro District Woman Legislator seat’s by-election by the District Returning Officer Dan Nayebare defeating all other contenders including the NRM flag bearer who had ‘defeated’ her in party primaries.
The newly sworn in Hon. Grace Akifeza Ngabirano replaces the late Sarah Mateke (RIP) who died on 7th September 2024.
