NEWS– The territorial police in Kanungu are investigating circumstances under which a 40 year old man was killed in cold blood.
ASP Elly Maate, the Kigezi region police spokesperson identified the deceased as David Kacucu a pygmy resident of Kegoma cell, Kihembe Parish, Kanyatorago sub County in Kanungu district.
Maate noted that Kacucu was allegedly stabbed to death and his body was in the morning hours of 25th November 2024 discovered along Karukara road.
It’s alleged that on 25th November 2024 at around 8:20 am when people were by passing along side Karukara road, they came across a man lying alongside the road while dead.
They reported to the area LC Rukarara cell chairperson who also notified Kanyantorogo police who also informed Kanungu CPS.
The scene was visited and documented, the body was identified by relatives as for ‘omutwa’ and was taken to Kihiihi health center mortuary for postmortem.
The police spokesperson stressed that the inquiries to ascertain the motive are ongoing.
