NEWS– Believers in christ have been asked to give to others if God has to give back to them stressing that the measure they use for others is the one God will use for them.
The sermon from Luke 6:38 was delivered by Rev. Fr. John Fisher the parish Priest Rutooma Parish during a mass at the Bishop Annual Appeal Fund Rukungiri chapter 2024 held on 9th October 2024 at Nyakibale Deanery grounds in Eastern division Rukungiri municipality.
The main celebrant who also doubles as the Bishop of Kabale Diocese Our Lord Bishop Callist Rubaramira thanked all the attendees for job well find en promised public accountability of the raised funds.
Maj. Gen. Jim Katugugu Muhwezi The Minister of Security and Rujumbura country legislator who was the chief guest thanked Bishop Rubaramira, Kabale Diocese and the Catholic Church for always positively partnering with the government to has enhanced development in the country.
Katugugu contributed Ugx 10M towards the initiative and Ugx 1M for the Bishop’s fuel not forgetting the Ugx 3M that was used to prepare lunch for the believers on the day.
The Guest of Honor Hon. Ernest Katara Ngabirano, the Senior manager in charge of administration at National water and Sewerage cooperation and MP hopeful for Rubabo county urged people to desist from 3Cs that is comparing, competing and complaining which he said are equal to jealous and aim at developmental issues.
Katara who contributed Ugx 20M towards the function, Ugx 1M to the Bishop and also delivered Ugx 5M from NWSC encouraged leaders to prioritize service delivery if they are to develop their constituencies, district and the nation as a whole.
During the function, a total of Ugx 293,323400 was collected with Nyakibale parish coming in the first position as per the parish performance evaluation.
The BAAF 2024 chapter aims at raising Ugx 1.5Bn to focus on completing the unfinished BAAF building located in the heart of Kabale town adjacent to KADIO motel.
The BAAF 2024 drive continues to different districts with 17th November heading to Kabale, 23rd November to Rubanda, 1st December to Kampala and then will be concluded on 11th January 2025.
