NEWS- With just days after the passing of Uganda’s former Inspector General of Police IGP Okoth Ogola, another former IGP has died.
The deceased according to the current IGP Abas Byakagaba is Mr Cossy Odomel, former Inspector General of the Uganda Police.
Odomel served as the Inspector General of Police of Uganda from 1992-1998.
The saddened Byakagaba announced Odomel’s death and described him as a distinguished member of Uganda Police Force who dedicated many years of service and leadership to the organization of the Uganda police.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the family during this difficult time.
He peacefully passed away on the morning of Tuesday 18th February 2025, in India.
Details of the burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.
