The Archdeacon of Nyakagyeme Archdeaconry in the North Kigezi Diocese, Venerable Ronald Natuhwera, officially installed Reverend Arthur Omara and Precious Omara Akampurira (his wife) to serve at St. John’s Church of Uganda Nyamifura Parish on 12th July, 2026.

The installation function took place at the St. John’s Church of Uganda Nyamifura grounds in Kagorogoro Cell, Kabwoma Parish, Nyakagyeme Sub-county, Rukungiri District.

Reverend Arthur Omara was transferred from St. Peter’s Church of Uganda Kyabugashe Parish, also within the North Kigezi Diocese.

While delivering the sermon, Venerable Ronald Natuhwera called upon Christians of St. John’s Church of Uganda Nyamifura to continue cooperating with their church leaders in all church activities aimed at spiritual growth and development of their families, the church, and the entire community.

He emphasized that Christians’ major priority should be loving and supporting their church leaders as they spread the Word of God, and as they work to bring development in communities.

Venerable Ronald further encouraged attendees to focus on their own plans rather than comparing themselves with others, noting that God works for everyone in His right timing. He therefore urged everyone to cooperate with one another to bring development and peace in their communities.

The function also featured remarks from the Chief Guest of Honor, retired Canon Engineer Christopher Tumusiime, from Kyabugashe Archdeaconry.

He congratulated Reverend Arthur Omara and his wife for being officially installed in Nyamifura COU. He called on Christians of St. John’s COU Nyamifura to support their church leaders to ensure smooth development. He also advised parishioners to embrace income-generating activities, such as coffee planting and other developmental projects, to support church, family, and wider community development.

After being officially installed, Reverend Arthur Omara expressed gratitude to the parishioners of St. John’s COU Nyamifura for their love and support throughout his ministry. Reverend Omara highlighted the need for continued cooperation toward development initiatives, including the completion of the church commercial building, increasing coffee planting projects, and the building of the new church.

He also pledged to continue reaching out to Christians at the grassroots to equip them for both spiritual growth and physical development across the whole parish.

The head of laity for St. John’s Church of Uganda Nyamifura Parish, Muhwezi Edison, also congratulated Reverend Arthur Omara and Precious Omara Akampurira for their official installation.

He stated that the Christians of St. John’s COU Nyamifura pledge to continue cooperating and strengthening support for the installed church leaders toward parish development. He further encouraged parishioners to continue engaging in income-generating activities that enable them to support their families and the church.
